Do you know of an unsigned band that might be the next Joy Division? Unknown Pleasures, the Manchester International Festival Event, is looking for bands to support their official line up.
Tom Baker, who is working on the event says: "Unknown Pleasures has been a challenge to book as there are so many good and exciting new artists around at the moment. I had to choose acts that show a cross section of new music from acoustic folk, to new indie guitar bands to more poppy acts. I’m excited about finding new upcoming local artists to support on some of these gigs as well, that’s the next challenge - perhaps we can find the next Joy Division!”
The band will have to be over 18, be based in the north west and generally have something about them. Any bands interested should get their skates on and follow this link. The deadline is May 1 2007.
