The Manchester International Festival is coming.
This major event will be a celebration of world class talent. Highlights will include Monkey King: Journey To The West. This live show has been created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the duo responsible for Gorillaz. Local heroes such as the Happy Mondays and The Fall will also perform during the festival. Unknown Pleasures will showcase the work of some of the best new bands in the country. They will perform at the Manchester Academy, with an outdoor finale at Salford Quays.
