Radio 1 is coming to Preston. This May Radio 1’s Big Weekend will pitch up in Preston’s Moor Park. This is the biggest free ticketed event in Europe and it will take place in the north west.
In previous years bands as big as Franz Ferdinand, Gnarls Barkley, Razorlight, Primal Scream, Foo Fighters and Travis have played the event. While the line up for this year will not be confirmed until late April, you just know it will be big and scary.
The event will take place inside Europe’s biggest tent. The best bands in the world will start playing at 12.00 midday and stop around 21.00.
However, the Big Weekend is not just about the Big Weekend. During the week Radio 1 will be touring the north west, and putting on great shows. Want to meet a Radio 1 DJ? Well now is your chance.
