Sam Raimi’s Spiderman 3 is now only weeks away, with excitement building both in cyberspace and amongst ordinary folk in the real world.
Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco all return, with Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard and Thomas Haden Church bringing something new to the party.
In this third installment of the franchise, Spiderman, played once more by Maguire, faces a trinity of diabolical foes. Harry Osborn, played by James Franco, is the New Goblin. He has sworn to avenge his father’s death. Topher Grace, who plays Peter Parker’s rival photographer at the Daily Bugle, is Venom. Finally, Thomas Haden Church plays Flint Marko, a street hood who becomes The Sandman. In the film, Marko was involved in death of Peter’s uncle, so all three villains exist within Peter’s web. Raimi was reportedly reluctant to include Venom, on account of his irredeemable wickedness. Sounds cool!
The film cost hundred of millions of dollars and is reportedly the most expensive ever made. The movie promises a fluid stream of computer generated images and real footage. Apparently a 1/16 scale model of a skyscraper was built, with the aim of creating ultra realistic scenes.
While there are rumours of a fourth film in the lucrative series, Maguire sounds a little ambivalent. Horror maestro Raimi is apparently reluctant to film without Maguire in the movie. For now though, fans of the New York based superhero can look forward to Spiderman 3.

I think the Raimi-Venom is a great deception for all that Venom fans. It seems Sam Raimi had an accurate perception about what thing Venom should be for Spiderman Universe. Unfortunately, in its very own creativity, Sam eliminated all the symbolisms that many drawers, despite small changes, knew to preserve.
GREAT WHITE LOGO IN CHEST. Contrast between white and black means danger, “be careful”, poisson. Just look at the nature, any bug with this color pattern is saying “hey, buddy. Stay away”. Instead, Raimi-Venom has a tiny grey spider, barely visible.
GREAT TEETH ALWAYS EXPOSED. This means aggression and violence at extreme and permanent. Is not Venom this, always?. Instead, Raimi-Venom has a couple of big lips covering mostly time tiny teeth. Just look at the production photos. I hope he is smiling or yawning all the movie, that’s will be the only way to see that teeth.
HEIGHT. Size matters. It means power and implicit domination. Instead, Raimi-Venom is almost a dwarf.
GREAT TONGUE. Sadism and cruelty, they are basic in Venom’s personality. If it has, Raimi-Venom doesn’t shows anything like that.
Sam Raimi…..you destroyed all symbolisms in Venom, so….. you destroyed Venom.
